You ever see that scene in Family Guy where they walk into a Sears store and it is almost completely barren? Well, Brookside Mall is sort of like that; A well-known mall that has seen some massive popularity back in the day, but over the years, it has been getting more and more empty. For what is remaining, there is a nice selection of stores, and there are some that you won't see in any other part of Fredericton. Still, I worry that there will come a day where not enough people will shop here, and the mall will likely be gutted out or turned into something different. Only time will tell...
This mall is the place where struggling businesses go to die. The only reason why this mall still exists, is because the beer store, sobeys, lawtons, and the gym are here.
A real dead mall... it has seen it's better days for sure. Not much there anymore.
Brookside mall has been a landmark for a long time. More recently it has undergone some changes and with a few good anchor tenants it is doing well. We went for Sobey's, NB Liquor and will likely come back to visit Cannabis NB in the future.
Not much here anymore... Some decent local shops like Olga Moda and The Card Rack.
