The front desk person was very nice. Our room was clean though very dated. And the beds were very comfortable. There were enough beds in our room for our family of 5. As a quick stop for a tired family, this place was good. Note: We arrived late at night and went straight to bed then left first thing in the morning. This place served its purpose.
DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is unsafe and very dirty. I booked this motel expecting it to be somewhat of a lesser quality place given the price point. But after checking in I was mortified. The exterior of the building is rough and all the doors have dents in them. After getting to our room we noticed the lock was broken off the door. With further investigation, we noticed the wall and the base boards were covered in some unknown substance. We pulled up the covers on the bed and noticed HUGE vomit stains on the beds. Not to mention the whole place was covered in bugs or the layer of dust covering everything in the room. I think the first priority of someone running a motel should be to keep their guest safe, and there is no sense of security at this place. Also, I have pictures of everything metioned above that were brought to the attention of the management at the Norfolk and I was not given a refund due to it being within 24hr of check in.
The place is neat. Quite area. The person running the place is very polite and friendly. Called her at 2 am and she responded. The breakfast was reasonable which is included. Free parking. One of the best motels for this money.
If you want a palace, this ain't. But if you're just looking for a place to crash and don't want to spend too much on it, then this will be the best bang for your buck ever. The room was clean and covered every single one of our needs. Plus, even at such a cheap price, you get to eat something in the morning at no additionnal cost, AND up to the checkout hour too! The place is managed by a widow and her son, both kind and hardworking individuals who truly do their best to make you feel welcome. Thank you so much for taking us in so late in the night and making sure our vacation was off to a good start.
I called the Norfolk for pricing information and the front receptionist was very transparent with me. Initially saying that the rooms were one price then telling me later that they were $10 more. Very frustrating conversation, did not end up booking.
